Does it emit harmful radiation?
No. Our digital thermometer only acts as a conductor and measures the radiated heat from the testing site.
How often do I clean the thermometer tip and how do I clean it?
The tip should be cleaned every after use. An alcohol wipe with 70% saturation or soap and water is recommended for cleaning the thermometer. Don’t use abrasive cleaning solutions, thinners, or benzene.
Does it come with batteries?
Yes. Our digital thermometer comes with installed batteries.
Do I need to calibrate this thermometer?
No. Calibration is only needed when you think the temperature is not accurate.
Why do I get different results from different testing sites?
Results may vary in alternative testing sites.

Oral - 37°C (98.6°F).
Rectal - 0.3°C (0.5°F) to 0.6°C (1°F) higher than an oral
Underarm - 0.3°C (0.5°F) to 0.6°C (1°F) lower than an oral
Which testing site is the most accurate?
Rectal temperature is usually the most accurate and consistent. This is the recommended temperature to measure for babies and young children.
How long do the batteries last?
Battery longevity entirely depends on how often you use the thermometer. On average, it takes 2,500 readings to completely deplete the batteries.
